I’ve created another free print-and-play microgame for those who love to play board games tied to the season.
This one’s all about luck, bluffing, and a bit of spooky mischief — a “find the hidden card” type of game that tests your memory and observation skills.

Yes, really.
If you don’t believe it, download it and read the rules!

It plays in about 10–15 minutes, works great for 2–4 players (probably best with two, but trickier with four), and is perfectly suitable for kids aged 5–6 and up.

Each player has three pumpkins — a scary one, a frightened one, and a calm one — all placed face down.
The game is made up of many mini duels: one player tries to scare another. To do that, they need to flip over their own scary pumpkin and the other player’s frightened pumpkin.

But there’s a twist — before flipping, you roll dice to determine how many shuffles you must perform. The more dice you roll, the more points you can earn… but it also becomes much easier to lose track of where the right pumpkins are hiding.

And what are points, if not lots and lots of delicious candy?
(They can be sugar-free if you like — the goal is just to collect 15 candies before your opponent does!)

You’ll need some dice to play — six is ideal, but even one will do.
Just print the cards double-sided (I laminated mine), and you’re good to go — there’s only a very short rule sheet to read.

It’s a minimalist design, which makes it both free and a true microgame.
It’s also printer-friendly, entirely black and white, but if you like, you can color it in yourself — just be careful not to let it show through the paper.

The illustrations were made with AI — something I don’t usually do, but for a small, seasonal freebie like this, I think it worked perfectly.

Check out these games too — you might like them just as much!
