Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy for PlayWise — how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. GDPR-compliant, operated from Spain.

This Privacy Policy explains how PlayWise collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit playwise.education or make a purchase. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).

2. Data We Collect

We may collect the following personal data:

  • Purchase data — name and email address, collected when you buy a product. Payment details are processed directly by Paddle and never stored by us.
  • Newsletter data — email address, if you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Usage data — anonymised analytics data (page views, traffic sources) collected via our analytics provider.
  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — processing your order and delivering your purchased product.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — sending you our newsletter if you have opted in. You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe or emailing us.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — improving our website and preventing fraud.

4. Data Retention

Purchase records are retained for the period required by Spanish tax law (generally 4–5 years). Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. We do not keep your data longer than necessary.

5. Third-Party Processors

  • Paddle.com Market Limited — payment processing and tax compliance (acts as Merchant of Record). See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
  • Email marketing provider — used to send newsletters to subscribers.
  • Analytics provider — anonymised website analytics.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data where we no longer have a lawful basis to retain it.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw newsletter consent at any time.

7. Supervisory Authority

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority:
